Converging lines

Photobucket

Note, the streets in the next photo are not parallel, they just look that way to 10mm lens. They meet at a point just behind me.

24 things about me

I was asked to play along by Lowandslow. I won't tag anyone, but if any of the three or four folks who read this want to follow, go fer it.

Where were you born?
Kingston, Ontario

Were you named after someone?
My mother told me she named me after Gen. Douglas MacArthur and Sir Anthony Eden.

If you have any children, how many do you have?
Two boys, 31 and 29.

How many pets do you have?
None, zero, zip, nada.

What is your worst injury?
Likely the time a ladder broke and I fell with it, eventually giving me years of knee and lower leg pain, but cycling pretty much fixed it.

Do you have a special talent?
Photography, I guess :-) I used to play guitar and sing but what isn't used is loozed.

What's your favourite thing to bake?
Ha ha. Bite sized potatoes in the oven. I am not a cook.

Favourite fast food?
Stouffers lasagna. Yummy.

Would you bungee jump?
Nope.

What's the first thing you notice about people?
Nothing in particular, really, unless we speak. Smiles, I suppose. If I'm only observing from a distance, and the one is being observed is female, well...

When was the last time you cried?
A breakup along time ago, before that, when my mom died.

Any current worries?
That's a whole nother blog post ;-)

Name three drinks that you drink regularly.
Coffee, Steam Whistle Pilsner, Coke.

What's your favourite book?
The Bourne Identity. It got me into reading all of Ludlum's books.

Would you like to be a pirate?
Aye, always looking to put me monkey pump in a bilge hole.

Favourite smells?
A discontinued perfume by Faberge called Tigress, bacon, bakeries.

Why do you blog?
If you mean writing, technically I no longer blog, I only post photos.

What song do you want played at your funeral?
"Who's Sorry Now?" Ha ha. Something by The Who would be awesome.

What is your least favourite thing about yourself?
I fail to read body language well, and even when I get the message, I tend to ignore it. I guess I'm cold at times.

Favourite hobby?
Photography, assembling things from junk.

What do you look for in a friend?
Things in common, a willingness to share back and forth, someone who calls me on my crap when necessary.

Name something you've done that you never thought you would.
Get married, raise kids, get divorced, live by myself.

Any pet peeves?
They're the only pets allowed in my apartment :D

What's the last thing that made you laugh?
Writing out this meme :-)

Sunday sunrise

I shot 70 photos on Sunday morning between 6:50 and 8:25 AM. Here's a few. If there are any gray blobs in them, those were taken with the ultra-wide on the Rebel XT. It has a dirty sensor :-)

Wet day part one

Jan 30 was very mild and rainy. It made familiar things look a bit different, a little more gothic. More tomorrow evening.
